The participants of the meeting of Ministers of energy and environment, the G20 agreed to reduce the volume of plastic waste in the oceans. It is reported Kyodo.
As noted, G20 countries are planning to establish an international cooperation structure that would deal with this issue and monitor the situation.
It is clarified that the members of this club shall endeavour to reduce waste from plastic and to communicate the results achieved.
According to UN, annually in the oceans gets about 8 million tons of plastic waste.
