Several young people allegedly tried to beat up members of the crew of TV channel “Russia 24”
The Ministry of internal Affairs of Georgia launched investigation on the attack on the Russian journalists, representatives of one of the propaganda channels. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to “Sputnik Georgia”.
According to the newspaper, the investigation is conducted under two articles: “impeding journalist activities” and “violence committed by a group against two or more persons”.
These articles prescribe punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to two years, a fine or corrective work.
Earlier it was reported that in Tbilisi several young people allegedly tried to beat up members of the crew of TV channel “Russia 24”, the journalists came to the aid of a local resident, no one was hurt.
At the same time the Prosecutor’s office of Georgia is studying the facts of possible abuse of authority by police officers during the dispersal of protests in Tbilisi the night of June 21. In particular, tested the feasibility of police use of tear gas and rubber bullets during the dispersal of a protest under the building of the Georgian Parliament.
