The former head of the Franco-Japanese automobile Alliance Renault – Nissan – Mitsubishi Carlos Ghosn argues that his arrest was the result of “conspiracy and betrayal” by the leadership of Japanese automobile company Nissan. The corresponding statement Ghosn expressed in the published on Wednesday an interview with the business newspaper Nikkei.
According to Ghosn, in the publication, he had “no doubt” that the charges and arrest were the result of “conspiracy and betrayal” by the leadership of Nissan. The head of the Alliance for which an interview with the Japanese edition was the first since his arrest in late 2018, also admitted that he had plans to merge three automobile corporations “in autonomy under the control of a single holding company”. These plans, according to the Gon, and was the cause of discontent manual Nissan.
In an interview, Ghosn said that the plan for the integration of Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi were discussed with the President of Nissan group, Hiroto Saikawa in September last year. It is noted that the gon had advocated the inclusion in the negotiation process for the integration of the General Director of Mitsubishi, Osamu Masuko, however, “Saikawa has insisted that these talks were held with him tete-a-tete”. Hong also rejected all the accusations against him and has expressed bewilderment in connection with the permanent failure of the Tokyo district court to release him on bail. “I’m not going to run away, I can fight”, – quotes the edition.
