The Grand Prix judo in Tashkent: the first gold of Uzbekistan

On the second day of the Grand Prix judo in Tashkent, the local fans celebrated the first gold for his team. Hero of the day was , Hikmatilla Turaev, who had no equal in the category up to 73 kg.

Benjamin Axus from France couldn’t stop Turaev in the quarterfinals. The outcome of the match decided the admission of the PWM vase.

In the final Turaev met Igor Wandke from Germany. Fans supported their athletes and the Uzbeks managed to get the upper hand in extra time and earn the first gold Grand Prix in his career. After the match, the athlete could not hold back emotions.

Minister of physical culture and sports of Uzbekistan Dilmurod Nabiyev presented Turaevo gold medal. The audience cheered along with his champion.

The heroine of the second day of the tournament was Manganime of Baldor from Mongolia. Judoka, acting in category to 63 kg, showed incredible skill and earned the second Grand Prix gold of the world tour of the international judo Federation in his career.

In the final match against Maria Centracchio of Baldor proved that they deserve to occupy the top step of the podium in Tashkent. Well done reception o-Soto-Gari brought her the victory in this battle and the first medal after the bronze medal of the world championship 2017.

Michaela Polleres earned the second gold medal Grand Prix in his career. In the final fight in category to 70 kg it overcame Giovanna, Scoccimarro from Germany.

This is the first gold of the Austrian team in this tournament.

Reception of the day was used by the Frenchman Jonathon Allard in the fight against Erlan Serova from Kyrgyzstan. Lightning-quick o-uchi-Gari brought him into the next round.

Russian Oleg Bagaev won a bronze medal in the category up to 73 kg.
