The indictment against the head of State sent to the court

Vadim Mosiychuk threatens till five years of imprisonment.

Prosecutor of Kyiv completed pre-trial investigation and sent to court indictment against the head of the State Agency of reserve of Ukraine Vadym Mosiychuk, the office negligence which has caused the state more than 6 million hryvnias of damage.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s office on Facebook.

“It is established that within 2017, the official said, contrary to the requirements of the legislation and rational use of state funds, adopted a series of unjustified managerial decisions, according to which more than 14 thousand tons of grain, which were stored at the state enterprise “Khlebnaya Baza № 85” in the Kharkiv region, was displaced at the state enterprise “Zlatodar” Cherkaska oblast”, – stated in the message.

His decision, he’s motivated by the fact that the granary is near the zone of the ATO. However, the investigation failed to identify any documented facts of the threat of loss of material values, namely grain, which was stored on the territory of GP “Khlebnaya Baza № 85” because of the fighting in the East of Ukraine.

“The consequence of the adoption of this management decision were unjustified expenditure of public funds for loading, unloading and transportation of grain for the sum over 6 million hryvnias”, – reported in Prosecutor’s office.

It is noted that the result was irrefutable evidence of the crime under part 2 of article 367 of the criminal code, that is, improper performance of official duties due to careless attitude to them, entailed heavy consequences to the state interests and the interests of individual legal entities.

The indictment against the officer is directed to court for consideration in essence.

The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to 5 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years, a fine of up to 750 tax-free minimum incomes, or without it.
