Perennial player of Zorya Luhansk, Zeljko ljubenovic and leaves the club. The Serb, who recently worked as a trainer in the “Dawn”, leaving the club after eight years of cooperation.
That ljubenovic is replacing Zorya, Luhansk club announced 7th July.
The press service of “Dawn” informs that the contract with 38-year-old Serb terminated by mutual consent.
Ljubenovic was the Deputy head coach of Zorya U-19.
The reason for the resignation
Ljubenovic has told, that leaves the “Dawn” because of a failed transfer.
“I’m leaving “Dawn”, because he made a big mistake bringing in a one-player team, and I can not forgive myself for this mistake. For misses, someone must be held accountable. I want to apologize to the fans and the club for my wrong decisions. So I’m leaving” – said Zeljko.
According to the Lubenovic, he plans to get into groups to Pro license and look for work in another team.
The Serbian finished his playing career in the summer of 2018, having played in Lugansk club until six years.
Zeljko spent in a t-shirt “Dawn” 164 matches and scored 27 goals and gave 21 assist.
He also played for the Ukrainian clubs “Tavria”, “Alexandria” and “Kryvbas”.
Tavriya ljubenovic in 2010, won the Cup of Ukraine. In the camp “Dawn” in season 2016/2017 won the bronze medal of the Premier League.
