Singapore airlines (Singapore Airlines) resumed passenger flight to new York — now this is the longest direct flights in the world.
Distance between Singapore and new York is 16737 km. Flights on the Airbus A350-900ULR will take 18 hours and 25 minutes. Flight does not provide seats in the economy class.
Earlier aircraft, “Singapore airlines” have already flown this route, but abandoned it in 2013 against the backdrop of high fuel prices.
Before that the record belonged to “Qatar Airways” (Qatar Airways): the airline since February last years operates scheduled flights from Doha to Auckland. The flight takes 18 hours.
