The state aviation service has suspended the certificate of the Ukrainian airline “YanAir Airlines” on the results of comprehensive inspections, reported on the organization’s website.
It is noted that the suspension of the air operator certificate will be effective from Friday, 7 June. The decision was made due to the fact that the Commission “revealed a number of observations (some of which are critical) to the organization of the activities of the carrier, which may adversely affect safety”.
The Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian welcomes the decision of the Ministry of transport. “It’s tough, but correct decision. The safety of passengers is paramount. We have been warned. Check continue,” he wrote on his page on the social network facebook on Thursday evening.
In turn, YanAir said they expected the renewal of the operating certificate in the near future.
“Inform our passengers that the airline YanAir, the Ministry of transport of Ukraine adopted the decision to suspend the air operator certificate. We expect the renewal of the certificate in the near future, and I hasten to assure the fulfillment of all flights of our partners for the period specified pause”, – stated in the message of the airline.
