In Transcarpathia in the village of Mala uhol’ka Tyachiv district, travelers can find the largest cave of the Ukrainian Carpathians – “Druzhba”.
“In Transcarpathia, in the village of Mala uhol’ka Tyachiv district, is located the largest cave of the Ukrainian Carpathians – “Druzhba”. It was formed by the processes of the caves and is very popular among estestveno and adventurers”, – stated in the message.
The total length of its cells is over a kilometer and the depth is 46 meters. The temperature in different parts of the cave varies from 5 to 8 ° C, while humidity is 100%.
Cave “Druzhba” is located in the beech forest on the outskirts of the village. The entrance is at the altitude of 500 meters. This is a small progalina oval shaped size of approximately 10×15 metres. The entrance corridor is a stone natural well width of 1.5-2 m and a depth of 20 meters. Therefore, the entrance to the cave, for security reasons, protected, and all who wish to see inside a cave must obtain the permission of the administration of the Carpathian biosphere reserve.
Inside, visitors will see a mysterious underground world, decorated with stalactites, helictites, shiny calavite crystals. Further, among the narrow corridors can meet the small stream, which is rapidly heading for the mound of boulders.
Near the “Friendship” is located and other interesting caves are: “VIV”, “Milk stone”, “Comb”, “Transparent walls”, “Chur”. A visit to the cave can be combined with a hike to the Karst bridge.
