The network of stores Walmart has filed a lawsuit against Tesla, accusing it of “gross negligence” due to the ignition of the solar panels. Approval Walmart, from 2012 to 2018, the lit up panels on the rooftops of seven stores, which resulted in millions of losses, the AP reports.
The lawsuit alleges that one of the stores in Ohio had to close for eight days. Inspection revealed that several solar Tesla was broken and the wires hanging out, creating a fire hazard. Tesla accused of “systematic negligence” and that she “did not comply with industry practice installation, operation and maintenance of solar panels.”
Walmart asked Tesla to disconnect any installed panels. However, a fire in one of shops has emerged, despite the fact that the battery was not operational for several months. Representatives of the chain stores also claim that Tesla has ignored the reports about the possibility of fire.
Walmart also requires indemnification for the losses suffered, the amount of which will be determined during the trial.
