The European Parliament and the European Commission on the current composition has put Ukraine in the top priorities of its activities. These words came at a joint briefing by EU representative and the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
The President of the European Parliament Committee on foreign Affairs, David McAllister said that Ukraine will remain the main priority of the European Parliament and the European Commission on the current composition.
“You can be sure that Ukraine will remain a top priority for the European Parliament and the European Commission for the deadline,” said McAllister during a joint press briefing with Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk in Kiev on Friday.
He stressed that Brussels appreciates the loyalty of the Ukrainian government with the reform process and his desire to fight corruption.
“With any other country outside the EU we do not have such close cooperation, with regard to financial and macro-financial assistance. Because a stable Ukraine is in the interests of the EU”, – said the head of the Committee of the European Parliament.
McAllister underscored that the EU strongly supports the sovereignty, political independence, territorial integrity of Ukraine.
