A three-dimensional effect of the old logo also disappeared – when printed on paper or displayed on a screen, the new logo looks flat, without highlights and shadows.
As they say representatives of the company, creating a new logo, the importance was paid to the removal of the surround effect, to make sure that VW branding will look the same on everything: from home screen multimedia to the logo on the key FOB. Volkswagen is not alone in applying this philosophy. BMW did the same thing, and, according to rumors, the Japanese Nissan also plans to do something similar.
According to the company, by the middle of this year, the new logo will be circulated to all 10 000 dealers on 171 global market. He also needs to gradually get to each new car with the VW brand in the world, 6.2 million of whom have left the dealers showrooms in 2019.
