The Embassy of Ukraine called on the newspaper to correct the error.
Embassy of Ukraine in the United States addressed the American newspaper The New York Times calling on them to improve the world map, which annexed Crimea was marked as Russian territory. This was stated in the statement of the Embassy on Twitter.
It is noted that the newspaper published the map-the infographic in the article about the pandemic COVID-19. The Crimea was marked by the same color as Russia.
“The New York Times made a wrong map of coronavirus! It’s so irresponsible! Team New York Times, do you support all the atrocities, torture and even murder, which the Kremlin is committing in the occupied Crimea? If not, correct the map,” said the Embassy.
