The government of Sevastopol approved the provision of shipbuilding plant “Vympel” in a rental property, owned by the city. The decision was taken at a government meeting on Monday.

“Last week we received a positive conclusion of the appropriate Department of the Federal Antimonopoly service in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. The main objective of the project is the preference and conclude the corresponding contract with shipyard “Vympel”, – said at the government meeting the Director of the Department for property and land relations Rustem zaynullin.

The property is leased for 49 years without a tender.

In November 2017 Vympel initiated the completion of a passenger vessel-hydrofoil new generation of “Comet 120M” on the site of the Sevastopol shipyard Persey (South Bay).

Last year, the “Kometa” started regular service on the route Sevastopol-Yalta-Sevastopol. At the end of August “Comet” carried 12.7 thousand passengers. All were made 112 flights. The average load for all flights was 99%.

In March 2018 at a meeting on the development of Sevastopol in the production and implementation of state defense orders by the Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov signed a road map on creation of the Sevastopol base of the southern acceptance of shipbuilding plant “Vympel”.
