HBO officially renewed detective retro TV series “Perry Mason” for a second season, reports Deadline.
We will remind, “Perry Mason” – adaptation of a series of detective novels by Earl Gardner, who talk about the private detective Perry Mason of Los Angeles 1930-ies, whose business is, to put it mildly, does not matter. In the first season, Mason is taken to investigate the murder of a baby, who was kidnapped for ransom, but returned to the parents, despite the conditions, already dead.
The main role in the TV series was played by Matthew Rhys, known for the spy show “the Americans.” He will return in the second season.
The series started in June and gathered at the TV screens to 1.7 million viewers, showing the best result for projects for HBO over the last two years.
