The Committee on appropriations of the house of representatives of the us Congress approved a draft law which provides for 445,7 million dollars to support Ukraine, the State Department, the U.S. Agency for international development (USAID) and involved structures. It is reported RBC-Ukraine, citing the Ukrainian Embassy in the USA on the official page in Facebook.
Determined the amount of provides, in particular, assistance to Ukraine in the sphere of defense in the amount of 115 million dollars under the program “International war funding”. However, as stressed in the diplomatic mission, the document “prohibits the allocation of us aid for the funding of activities related to recognition of Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea or any other territory of Ukraine”.
At the same time, the Committee recommended that the U.S. state Department and the us Agency for international development of the United States to continue cooperation with Ukraine in the implementation of programs of rehabilitation and adaptation of the Ukrainian military assistance to the new Ministry of veterans Affairs of Ukraine, and also in the further development of the fight against cyber threats from Russia.
For the entry into force of the bill must be approved by the full house of representatives, supported by the Senate and signed by the President of the United States.
