In the Kryvyi Rih eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate said that unknown persons set fire to the temple doors in Krivoy Rog with incendiary mixture. Police have classified the incident as a deliberate destruction or damage of property.
In Krivoy Rog on 15 February, unknown persons attempted to set fire to the doors of the temple. On 16 February, reported the press service of the Krivoy Rog police Department in Facebook.
Open criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 194 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (deliberate destruction or property damage).
The press service of Kryvyi Rih eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate said that the incident occurred at about 19.30 on 15 February.
“Vandals, using incendiary bombs was an arson attack on the Church that resulted in a fire and serious damage to the Central entrance doors and gate icon of the ascension. Also made graffiti “14/88″ that have a direct relationship to the Nazi slogans of the radical movements,” the statement said.
