The United States and the radical movement “Taliban” resumed peace talks. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the “Voice of America”.

It is noted that the state Department’s special representative for peace in Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad again headed the American delegation. The talks were held in Doha, capital of Qatar, where the leadership of paramilitary groups.

“USA today once again began negotiations in Doha. The purpose of the discussion – the decline of violence, which will lead to intra-Afghan negotiations and truce,” said a source in the administration of the trump.

At the end of today’s meeting, the Taliban spokesperson wrote on Twitter that the two sides will meet on Sunday and continue the discussion.

“The negotiations started from that point at which they stopped. We discussed the signing of the agreement and related issues,” said Suhail Shaheen.

We will remind, on November, 29th the President of the United States Donald trump said that the radical movement “Taliban” is ready to formally resume peace talks with the United States.
