In December 2019 anti-ID T-Mark got a Toyota Camry and RAV4, and now protection available for Toyota Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado and Alphard.
The technology consists in the following: in 25-30 locations on the car body are sprayed with thousands of microdots with a diameter of one millimeter: part of these labels, you can easily find with the naked eye, the part is placed in the hidden parts of the body (an accurate map of the places classified). At each point repeatedly printed with the same alphanumeric code unique to each machine.
If you enter a number of points on the official website of the brand, you can get information about the make, model, version, color and configuration of car, and VIN code.
It is designed primarily for buyers in the secondary market. If you sold a stolen car with a valid VIN code due to database and code from the point discrepancy will be immediately noticeable.
To replace point – is unrealistic: there are thousands of them around the body, and produce millimeter mark with the microtext in primitive conditions is impossible. Erase the point completely? The buyer was alerted to their absence. Overall, the new technology is designed to complicate the legalization and resale of stolen vehicles, which in turn will reduce the interest of the hijackers to such machines.
Until the end of the year, the company plans to equip such a anti-theft protection of the entire range.
