Universal Pictures has signed an agreement with Timur Bekmambetov, according to which he’ll produce for a Hollywood Studio five films in the format screenlit where the action unfolds on the screens of the devices, according to Deadline.
Bekmambetov collaboration with Universal began in 2008 with the Thriller “wanted” with Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman. Now the Director suggested prospective skinlife-the sequel. He believes that a modern assassin would prefer a simple gun drone and uses for his purposes the latest technology.
Producer sure that the format of screenlife was able to prove his versatility during a pandemic. Film production is safe and does not stop, while large companies are suffering losses due to the freezing of the shooting process.
At the moment, Bekmambetov is working on several projects in the format screenlife, including the film adaptation of the Shakespeare play “Romeo and Juliet”, the sequel to the Thriller the “Search” ribbon “V-2. Escape from hell” about a Soviet pilot Mikhail Devyataeva, which will be filmed in vertical and horizontal formats.
