In the framework of measures to combat the spread of coronavirus Kyiv city state administration (KCSA) has acquired 400 cameras with temperature measurement function and facial recognition, according to ITC.
System thermal screening a total value of 65 million UAH are planned to be used to identify potential carriers of viral infection, one sign of which is increased body temperature. Information about the purchase appeared on the portal of public procurement Prozorro.
As indicated in the accompanying documentation, the auction won the limited liability company “Integro”, which until April 25, 2020 and put conitinue in Kiev 400 thermal imaging PTZ IP cameras Hikvision DS-2TD1217B-6/PA. The cost of each camera is 125,066 thousand UAH thousand UAH 10,250 plus is the installation and commissioning for each camera, thus all equipment costs 60,031 million UAH, all services – 4.92 million UAH, and accurate total 64,951 million.
According to the official site, the Hikvision DS-2TD1217B-6/PA can measure body temperature with an accuracy of ±0.5°C in the temperature range from 30°C to 45°C, in case of detection of increased temperature triggered audiosignals. The camera overlays a thermal image on the optical image, and detects faces. To measure the temperature enough to be in range of the camera about 1 second, it is able to work with multiple people at the same time, while AI function automatically rule out alternative sources of heat.
New thermal imaging camera will connect to the current Kiev video surveillance system “Safe capital”, they will not only measure the temperature in real time, and transmit the collected data to system server for processing and storage.
