Trump has extended for one year sanctions against Russia for aggression against Ukraine

The President of the United States Donald trump is disposed to extend for another year sanctions against Russia for its aggression in Ukraine.

The corresponding decree of the President of the United States released on 4 March on the White house website.

“The actions and policies referred to in these decrees (we are talking about the decrees of Barack Obama in 2014 after the annexation of Crimea and its aggression in the Donbas – ed.) continues to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States,” – stated in the decree.

“The actions and policies of persons who undermine democratic processes and institutions in Ukraine, threaten its peace, security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as contribute to the theft of its assets,” – said in the White house.

Thus emergency declared on March 6, 2014, and the measures taken on this day (decree No. 13660 – ed.), March 16, 2014 (decree No. 13661 – ed.), March 20, 2014 (decree No. 13662 amended) and 19 December 2014 (decree No. 13685 – ed.) to cope with this emergency extended for another year. Extended also to the measures introduced by the authorities trump 20 Sep 2018.

As you know, in 2014, the United States imposed sanctions against Russia for aggression in Ukraine, which then was expanded and extended several times.
