The United States resumed free trade agreement with Ukraine for a number of positions in connection with the progress in talks with Kiev in the protection of intellectual property. This is stated in the published on Friday by the White house decree of the President of the United States Donald trump, reports citing The Washington Post.
“I did it because I believe that Ukraine ensure adequate and effective protection of intellectual property rights. Ukraine has made progress in protecting intellectual property rights. In accordance with this lift the suspension of the agreement on free trade in accordance with the General system of preferences on a number of Ukrainian goods”, – is spoken in the message.
President trump partially suspended trade benefits to Ukraine in December 2017, citing the inability of Ukraine to protect intellectual property rights.
Earlier, the US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo assured reporters that America is a unified policy towards Ukraine.
