The EU continues to firmly support territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine
European Council President Donald Tusk stressed that the European Union’s position regarding non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation is inviolable. He said this at the end of the XX anniversary of the summit Ukraine – EU in Brussels at a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, writes UNIAN.
Tusk said: “the EU continues to firmly support territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Remain intact and our non-recognition of illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol”.
The head of the European Council also recalled that recently expanded the list of persons banned from entering the European Union. “It happened after the Crimean Peninsula was the Russian presidential election and how it was started the construction of the Kerch bridge without the consent of Ukraine”, – said Tusk.
