In Georgia, a number of state television channels and state institutions suffered large-scale hacker attack. At last count, has come under attack over two thousand resources, including websites of non-governmental organizations and private companies.
According to the BBC, in most cases, the hackers on the main pages of websites posted an image of the former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili with the caption “I’ll be back”.
It is known that from the actions of hackers has suffered the websites that contain materials of business and personal data. Moreover, such channels as “Imedi” and “Maestro stopped broadcasting.
The head of news service of the channel “Imedi” Irakli Chikhladze said that after the hackers, they fail to signal or broadcast.
Professor Alan Woodward said that such scale hacking attacks it has not seen before. He speculated that the attack could sponsor state.
Meanwhile, social networks are actively discussing the incident and believe that attacks can have against Russia.
Mikheil Saakashvili from 2004 to 2013, he occupied the post of the President of Georgia. And in 2015 he was appointed Governor of Odessa region of Ukraine. Then he refused Georgian citizenship. Later, in 2017, he was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship and deported. However, in 2019, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky restored Saakashvili Ukrainian citizenship. At home Saakashvili of Georgia law enforcement officers opened the policy in several criminal cases.
