The Ukrainian side at the talks in Minsk will insist on the current structure of the Tripartite contact group.
The Minister of foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said at the Atlantic Council organized an online discussion.
“Ukraine will insist on the current structure of the Tripartite contact group, and this TAG consists of three actors: Russia, Ukraine, OSCE. Everything else is subject to internal structuring in the middle of the contact group”, – quotes the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry Interfax-Ukraine.
Dmitry Kuleba emphasized that the Ukrainian side is not seeking direct dialogue with the terrorists “DNR” and “LNR”, but suggested a discussion with them to certain topics.
“We are not looking for direct dialogue with Donetsk and Lugansk. But we have to interact with them and speak to them about a particular set in order to implement certain points of the Minsk agreements,” – said Kuleba.
The foreign Minister also added that the idea of a so-called Advisory Board is to “force companies to speak and interact”. However, he ruled out the possibility of interaction of Ukraine with the representatives of the “DNR” and “LNR”.
In addition, the Minister said that personally he was in office will not agree to a direct dialogue with the terrorists.
“I will never agree, as the Minister, on a direct dialogue between the Ukrainian officials and the so-called “representatives of Donetsk and Lugansk.” Everything else is the space for the art of diplomacy. But there are certain red lines that I will not go as the Minister of foreign Affairs or the citizen of Ukraine. And this is one of them, ” – said Kuleba.
