Ukraine will cover another virus worse COVID-19: doctors have warned about the danger

Украину охватит еще один вирус, страшнее COVID-19: медики предупредили об опасности

In Ukraine a couple of days previous quantity recovered from COVID-19 exceeded the number of cases and the authorities are glad that you have a correct quarantine policy. The doctors are convinced that it is not so by the autumn the country will face the second wave of the pandemic.

Moreover, experts fear that at the end of the year to join the outbreak of another infection – measles. This opinion is shared by Ukrainian doctors, reports TSN.

“We are not talking about the number of patients identified and the number that have laboratory confirmation. Our surveillance system COVID-19 is about 35%,” – said immunologist Fedor Lapiy, noting that the official figures are very far from the real and daily statistics from the Ministry of health must be multiplied by three.

According to him, we are talking about people who are not so far away as it seems: there may be infected, but it may be asymptomatic.

“If I am sick, I realize that I was wrong. Got sick of sitting at home. And if you do not have noticeable symptoms, go to work, make appointments. Wear a mask in the style of van Gogh,” adds MC.

The immunologist said that coronavirus is right. So, while people wear masks according to the latest trends – under the nose, on the ear or the elbow, they bring something so much feared second wave of the pandemic.

For its part, the public health Center of Ukraine warns that the country is “playing with fire”. In particular, she is at high risk of polio outbreaks. In addition, doctors fear measles outbreak, as five months 2020 were vaccinated only 30% of children, and it is very small in comparison with the previous year.

According to Lapiy, the team, the reason for such low vaccination coverage against measles is including pandemic coronavirus, but now it can bring another trouble.

“To the sick COVID-19, we will look for places for hospitalization for patients with measles. Ukraine from 2017 to 2019 had a very large measles outbreak. It is officially more than 130 thousand cases. And this outbreak cannot be said to have stopped, because from the beginning of 2020, the country registered more than 400 cases of measles,” he explains.

The doctor noted that the relatively low level of vaccination coverage is observed in Lviv, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk regions, which are also the leaders in the incidence COVID-19.

And immunologist adds that the world is now trying to find a vaccine against COVID-19, but also explore the impact of certain medications on the coronavirus. However, this can be called a theory.

“As for the BCG, that is, data that it makes the immune system stronger… Regarding the measles-mumps-rubella, this may be a temporary effect, when your body after the vaccination becomes insensitive to other viral infections,” concludes Lapiy.
