The world champion on the average weight under version WBA Super Saul Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KO’s) intends to return to the ring on September 12.
According to ESPN Deportes, the Mexican team has already outlined two high priority opponent: in the first place – Ukrainian Sergey Derevyanchenko (13-2, 10 KOs) in the second position, the world champion under version WBA Super to weight super Middleweight Callum Smith (27 – 0, 19 KOs).
Who is Alvarez?
Mexican is the leader of P4P – a rating of the best boxers the world regardless of weight class. Alvarez stands at 5 weight classes, which became the champion of the world. He had 56 fights and scored 53 victories. In its passive only defeat Floyd Mayweather.
Ukrainians ready to fight
Coach Derevyanchenko said that Sergei is ready for the challenge of any opponent.
“We are ready to prepare for any problem that would stand in front of us. We’ll be ready for anything. Sergei don’t care what Alvarez can be a problem,” said Andre.
As an example, he cited a Derevyanchenko fights with Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs. In both battles, the Ukrainian lost, but was close to victory.
Third chance Derevyanchenko

- In October 2018, Sergei lost to Daniel Jacobs.
- For the year Derevyanchenko got a second chance. In the fight for the vacant title he controversially lost to Gennady Golovkin.
