Ukrainian-Turkish business forum held in Kiev on 3 February with the participation of presidents of both countries, was the largest in the history of bilateral relations.

About it speech at the forum said the President of the chamber of Commerce of Ukraine Gennadiy Chizhikov.

“This year’s forum – the fifth large-scale Ukrainian-Turkish business event last year and the largest in the history of our bilateral relations. With the participation of representatives of governments, regions, chambers of Commerce and industry and business associations, and most importantly – more than 500 Ukrainian and Turkish businessmen that are configured to work more actively,” – said Chizhikov.

He stressed that the participation of the presidents of the two countries at the business forum tells about how much attention governments paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation.

According to the President of the chamber, of interest for both parties is, in particular, cooperation in the field of restructuring and revitalization of industry of Ukraine, the establishment of production of modern high-tech products in the agro-industrial complex, a joint release with such competitive products on the markets of third countries. Also important is the cooperation in the field of logistic infrastructure of Ukraine, in particular the construction of roads, benchmarking Turkey to create special industrial zones and technology parks.

“As an example of successful implementation will be reminded of one project, which actively takes place with the strong participation of Turkish capital, is the creation of an industrial Park in the city of Mariupol, in the Donetsk region. They are interested in almost 12 Turkish companies willing to participate in the restoration of Donbass”, – said the President of CCI.

Among the sectors that have potential for cooperation, he also called aerospace engineering, agriculture, energy, information technology, mechanical engineering, tourism, logistics.

As reported, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip erdoğan 3 Feb visited Ukraine with the visit, which took place in the framework of the 8th meeting of Strategic Council of high level between Ukraine and Turkey.
