The Shakhtar’s ultras issued a statement regarding the introduction of the Donetsk club new rules of buying tickets for away matches in the Premier League.
Fans do not exclude a close relationship to the administration of “Shakhtar” with the so-called “militia” and the Russian special services.
“Football in Ukraine is experiencing not the best times. Because of the war in the East and the occupation of the Crimea, many clubs changed residence, and some even ceased to exist. Attendance at stadiums has fallen several times, and the top matches are unable to collect full stadiums. Probably the only one who constantly support their clubs both home and away, is the ultras,” reads the statement on the website of Ultras Shakhtar Donetsk in Facebook.
In the last months of Yanukovych’s regime, interior Ministry officials together with the security services of clubs, practiced collecting data on them, knowing that is the driving force of the revolution of Dignity. As a result all data charges – harassment by the police during the Maidan, and hunting by the separatists and Russian intelligence services on the territory of Donbass. We all remember how the capture of Pro-Russian fighters of “Donbass Arena” was allegedly found only lists the ultras of Shakhtar. Why supposedly? Because these lists had already been on separatist websites and at the addresses back in the spring of 2014, the representatives of the so-called militia searched for “traitors of Donbass”.
Informed Sport 24 wrote that the Shakhtar ultras burned the national flag of the Russian Federation on the match of round 20 of the Premier League against Chornomorets (1:0). So fans of Shakhtar Donetsk spoke out against the new policy of the club associated with visits to matches of the club on the road.
