The French company Renault is finalizing on a new generation of European crossover Captur, which is the last few years is one of the leaders of the European market.
It is reported that Captur new generation will use the same updated platform CMF-B, and the recently introduced Clio, and therefore must become more and more luxurious in terms of equipment.
However, the main novelty is expected the installation of hybrid power-plant with charging unit and the battery capacity of 9.8 kW, which will allow the compact crossover to drive up to 50 kilometers only on electricity. It is reported that Renault is also working on a rechargeable diesel hybrid engine.
As for the rest of the line motors is 1-liter turbocharged petrol engine with two power options, a 1.5-liter diesel and likely a 1.3-liter petrol turbo joint development of Renault-Nissan and Daimler.
Exterior style will also be borrowed from the Clio with cleaner lines and a more premium appearance, and among the technical innovations expected digital dashboard is 9.3 inches, superior materials and a host of new driver assistance systems, including semi-Autonomous technology second level.
The world debut of the new generation Renault Captur is expected this summer, and by the end of 2019 will begin selling the crossover in Europe.
