The United States intends to send to Tunisia the subsidiary brigade troops in response to Russia’s actions in the region, RIA Novosti reported.
According to the head of the African command of the US forces Stephen Townsend, the Pentagon could send the North African country, a special team of military specialists to train local soldiers.
“As Russia continues to fan the flames of the Libyan conflict, regional security in North Africa is a concern for all more. We learn new ways to respond to threats to common security, including the use of team assistance to security forces”, – said the head of AFRICOM.
As noted by General Townsend, the African partners of the United States face problems due to the fact that they are “besieged by malevolent politicians and terrorist networks.”
