Ukrainian Valentina Semerenko won the gold medal on the first day of the summer biathlon world Championships.
Valya overcame the distance of the super sprint for 15 minutes 58.8 seconds with 0 misses on the shooting range.
Second was Czech Lucie Charvatova, which was defeated by the Ukrainian only 0.1 second, third went to Russia’s Ekaterina Glazyrina.
The results of the other Ukrainian women: Darya Blashko – 5th place, Vita Semerenko – 8-e, Olga Abramova – 18-e, Yuliya Zhuravok – 22-e, Anastasiya Merkushyna – 26.
In the men’s super sprint, the Ukrainian biathlon Andrew Dotsenko and Sergey Semenov finished the race respectively in 14th and 16th places.
Note that in the competition of the Junior Anna Kryvonos won the bronze medal and Valeria Dmitrenko – fourth. The victory was won by Russian Valeria Vasnetsov.
In the Junior super sprint, won by Belarusian Nikita Lobastov. And the best result among the Ukrainians showed Eugene Ivchenko, who took tenth place with two misses.
