Special envoy of the US state Department on Ukraine Kurt Volker welcomed the start of the withdrawal of forces and means near the village of Lugansk in the area of operations of the joint forces.
“A good move from Ukraine near the village of Lugansk. Now Russia needs to take further mutual steps to strengthen the ceasefire, including the withdrawal of heavy weapons and disarmament of illegal armed formations”, – he wrote in Twitter on June 26.

21 September 2016 at a meeting of the trilateral contact group in Minsk signed a framework decision on the beginning of withdrawal of forces and means in the Donbass at the three sites. It has already taken place in the Petrovsky (1 October 2016) and Gold (7 October 2016). Attempts to withdraw the forces and weapons near the village of Lugansk have failed. Ukrainian side accused the Russian-terrorist troops in the attacks, to thwart the breeding effort.
According to the Russian representative at the talks in Minsk of Boris Gryzlov, 5 June 2019, an agreement was reached about the breeding of forces and armaments in the area of Stanitsa Lugansk on June 10.
The headquarters operations of joint forces on June 10 reported that farming near the village of the Luhansk was disrupted due to violations of the ceasefire by the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the occupation administration.
On 26 June at the headquarters reported that near the village of Lugansk took place the first stage of the withdrawal of forces and means. The Ukrainian military has gone from a position which was before the checkpoint of entry-departure “Stanitsa Lugansk”. It is unknown whether they took their troops the insurgents in the temporarily occupied territories, noted in the headquarters.
When this command OOS emphasized that the breeding does not weaken the position of Ukrainian troops and should not endanger the life and health of the civilian population on both sides of the demarcation line.
