The Antimonopoly Committee allowed “the 2012 agricultural holding” buy the company “Obolon” assets in the Khmelnitsky region.

“Permission granted, OOO “agro 2012” (Horodok, Khmelnytska oblast) for the acquisition of assets in the form of integral property complex and procurement-storage terminal, owned by a private joint-stock company “Obolon” (Kiev) and located at the address: Khmelnytskyi region, chemerovetsky rayon, the, settlement of Zakupne, ulitsa Stantsionnaya, 10,” – said in the message.
Also given the permission to purchase of integral property complex – “Securency feed plant”, which belongs to a private joint-stock company “Obolon” and is located at the address: Khmelnytskyi oblast, chemerovetsky rayon, the, settlement of Zakupne, street Prizavodskaya, 30.
Also, “agro 2012” received permission to acquire shares in the share capital of the company “Agrofirma imeni V. D. Slobodyan” (Ivankivtsi village, Horodok Raion, Khmelnytskyi region), which provides excess of 50% of votes in the Supreme management body of the company.
“Agro 2012” was created in September 2015. Its beneficiaries through a venture Fund “Offeror” are Galina and Alexander Gerega.
The Obolon Corporation produces beer, soft and low alcohol drinks, mineral water, snacks, is the country’s largest beer exporter.
It includes the main plant in Kyiv and nine enterprises in the regions of the country.
PJSC “Obolon” in 2018 received 176,9 million UAH of net loss against 288,8 million UAH of net profit a year earlier. Its assets last year decreased by 9% to 5.2 billion.
For the last 2 years the people’s Deputy Alexander Gerega and his wife Galina invested in agricultural business $ 150 million.
In March 2018 Gerega was looking also to sugar business.
Earlier the General Director of “Epicenter-K” told EP that Gerega began to build his agricultural Empire in 2015. Over the last three years they were able to concentrate more than 100 thousand hectares in the five regions of the country.
According to the rating of the richest Ukrainians, compiled by the magazine “Novoye Vremya” and investment company Dragon Capital in 2017, Gerega are in the top 10 richest Ukrainians. Their fortune is estimated at 688 million dollars.
