"Теплое" лето: пасечники подкармливают пчел, спасая от смерти

Cold and rainy may negate hopes for the collection of spring honeys. In many apiaries the bees are fed, saving them from death.

Bees from the hive could not fly, said the co-owner of the brand “Noble Honey” beekeeper Valery kureyko, the publication reported, “Gorgol”.

A few spring flowering honey plants in this weather, too small, nectar stands out very few.

“In these conditions, bee colonies, which already were at the beginning of June to reach the peak of its development, suffered from a lack of food, so beekeepers have to feed bees to keep them from destruction”, – told kureyko.

According to him, the so-called “may,” MEDA, which includes the nectar of fruit trees and shrubs, raspberries and other berries this year are almost there, at least in the Central and Northern regions of Ukraine to collect it did not allow weather conditions.

As for the honey from rapeseed, although this culture is a good idea bloomed, the nectar the bees barely have enough for their needs.

“In General, the overall structure of honey harvest in may and rapeseed honey, usually take about 7%, i.e. a total of up to 8 thousand tons,” – said beekeeper.

Also, on the eve of flowering of white acacia – the most valuable honey plant in Ukraine – the beekeepers hope that the weather will improve, and the bees will be able to collect enough nectar.

“In Ukraine, acacia honey is collected from white and yellow acacia. The optimal temperature at which acacia secretes more nectar from 18 to 24°C, this should not be to heavy rains because they wash the nectar from the flowers. Honey locust is one of the most expensive, and takes about 5% of the total consumption in the domestic market is about 3.3 thousand tons”, – said kureyko.
