Scientists have found that weight loss significantly affects the health of people who have atrial fibrillation and are obese.
Just experiment was attended by nearly 350 people, says HealthDay.
All the volunteers had to stick with the program for weight loss that included an individual diet and recommendations concerning lifestyle. In General, participants avoided eating processed foods that are rich in carbohydrates and calories.
Participants were also given 200 minutes per week of physical activity. Volunteers also helped with risk factors for arrhythmia – hypertension, elevated blood sugar and sleep apnea.
The arrhythmia has lost nearly half of the volunteers. The best results were achieved by those who took off 10% of its weight, but 135 people or not faced with arrhythmia, or sustained arrhythmia they moved in paroxysmal.
Episodes of paroxysmal arrhythmias are usually stored in less than a week and resolve spontaneously, but persistent can last for weeks. However, 41% of the 116 participants who lost only 3% of its weight, paroxysmal arrhythmia turned into a rack.
What is arrhythmia? This disruption of the heart associated with irregular contraction. Rapid (tachycardia) or slow (bradycardia), it is equally harmful to the health of the body.
