Today, Hyundai Motor company released the first image of the exterior of the updated crossover Santa Fe, which will go on sale in the second half of 2020. The teaser shows a new, more brutal, but at the same time a sophisticated look to the front of the car.
After two years from the date of issue of the fourth generation Santa Fe, Hyundai Motor was prepared an updated version of crossover. The update is timed to the 20th anniversary of the car, which was first demonstrated in 2000 at the motor show in Geneva.
Provided according to the first teaser, the new model will get a combined grille and led daytime running lights that reflect a modern, integrated vehicle architecture.
Grille new Santa Fe is broader than the currently sold model, it expresses a bold character of the car, while chrome trim accentuates the geometric pattern of the lattice, which produces a striking stereoscopic effect. Daytime running lights acquired T-shaped and arranged horizontally. Also, the teaser is visible slightly transformed front bumper.
In addition to the changes in the exterior design, the Santa Fe will get an improved interior with new options designed to provide a high level of comfort of the driver and passengers of the vehicle.
The updated crossover will be the first Hyundai model in Europe and the world, built on a new platform of the third generation. This platform can significantly improve performance, handling and safety of the vehicle, and to install the hybrid powertrain. Therefore, in addition to the usual petrol and diesel modifications new Santa Fe will be available in versions of Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid.
