The Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine almost completed the work on the draft law on the digital economy. This was announced by the Minister, first Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Ministry reports.

Wednesday, August 28, Kubiv reported on the achievements in the field of digital economy. In particular, the bill on the digital economy, its development is almost complete.

“It will become an important system document for digital development in Ukraine and will add 5-7% to GDP annually,” – said Kubiv.

He also added that during 2018, in Ukraine e-Commerce grew by 25%. The state now ranks second in Europe in terms of e-Commerce.

Kubiv also said that from January 30, 2019, the government set obyazatelnym digital format of public policy – the principle of “digital by default” (digital by default).

“This means that public authorities must first work in digital format for documents,” – said the first Vice-Prem’yer.

In General, according to the Ministry, thanks to the system of electronic interaction of state information resource “trembita” almost 5,500 daily documents sent in electronic form.
