Zagorodnyuk informed Sajjan of the situation in the Donbass

Defense Minister of Ukraine Andriy Zagorodnyuk held a meeting with the Minister of national defence of Canada Hargita Singh Sajjan. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the defense Ministry.

The sides discussed the state and prospects of defense cooperation between the two countries.

Zagorodnyuk thanked the canadian counterpart for the comprehensive assistance of the APU from the defense Department of Canada, in particular for the training of canadian instructors of Ukrainian troops, and for the involvement of strategic advisors in the development and implementation of defense reforms.

Also during the meeting, the Minister informed the Sajjan about the situation in the East of Ukraine and noted the importance of supporting Canada’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine.

Heads of defense ministries of Ukraine and Canada have also honored the memory of victims of Holodomor of 1932-1933.

As reported RBC-Ukraine, the defense Minister of Ukraine Andriy Zagorodnyuk said that the return of captured in November 2018 ships is not an act of goodwill from the Russian side.

“I see these events as not that other, as the state-aggressor may the decisions of the International sea Tribunal,” he said.
