Vladimir Zelensky was acquainted with the work of the laboratory of Khmelnytskyi regional laboratory center and asked about the situation with the payment of bonuses to physicians
During his working visit to Khmelnytskiy region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the laboratory of Microbiology of se “Kherson regional laboratory center MOH Ukraine”, according to the Office of the President.
The President inspected the laboratory of the centre and premises, taking samples of biological material, selected to test for the presence COVID-19. Staff showed the President on medical equipment, in particular Amplifier purchased for center patrons.
The President discussed with the staff of the centre issues that need to be addressed in the near future to prepare the healthcare system for a possible second wave of the spread of coronavirus diseases in Ukraine.
Also Vladimir Zelensky asked about the situation with the payment of bonuses to the salaries of physicians who are struggling with COVID-19.
Deputy Minister of health of Ukraine, chief state sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko said that the money in the Treasury for such payments are available and signed by the relevant estimates. Soon doctors will receive statutory payments.
“We need to check it out. Even when money is found, they do not reach the doctors. And it’s all over the country. All we need manually to check with the chief sanitary doctor. This is wrong. We should know that the money arrives ” – said the Head of state.
As employees of the center complained to Vladimir Zelensky on the shortage of professional staff. In particular, there is a problem with the training of technicians working on microbiological research.
Victor Lyashko said that in recent years Ukraine in General is not prepared by the relevant specialists.
Vladimir Zelensky called for lab workers to promptly report the possible problems that arise in the work.
“This is a very important thing. Until you build a system in the country, as we speak,” said the Head of state.
Victor Lyashko thanked the President for the attention to this problem and, in particular, for the visit to the center.
