During a trip to Oman, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky met with the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Alawi. The sides discussed the strengthening of relations between the two countries, in particular focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation, the press service of the OP.
“There was an increase in turnover, which last year grew 10% to $ 80 million, and the intensification of contacts at the level of chambers of Commerce. The meeting participants agreed to continue the practice of Ukrainian-Omani business forum – given the success of the last two such events in Kiev in 2019, which were attended by dozens of businessmen from Oman”, – stated in the message.
Zelensky said that Ukraine is interested in direct investments from Oman, noting promising sectors such as energy and heavy industry, construction, agriculture, information technology and innovation, infrastructure development, medicine, tourism.
