ASUS today, the day before the exhibition Computex 2019, held a press-conference on which has presented a number of their new laptops. The most interesting novelty was the flagship laptop, the ZenBook Pro Duo, which is distinguished by the presence of two displays.
Laptops with more than one screen is not new. Last year she equipped their ASUS ZenBook touchpad ScreenPad with a built-in screen. Now, the Taiwanese manufacturer decided to go ahead and put a pretty big full touchscreen display ScreenPad+ right above the keyboard. As planned, this decision not only increases the workspace, but it also enhances the usability of multiple applications at the same time, and generally increases the opportunities of laptop. And to maintain the usability of the keyboard ASUS offers a special stand for hands.
The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo is equipped with a 15.6-inch touch OLED-display with a resolution of 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels), 100% coverage of the color space DCI-P3 and HDR support. Extra ScreenPad screen+ built-in 14-inch touchscreen IPS panel with an aspect ratio of 32:9 and a resolution of 3840 × 1100 pixels. Based ZenBook Pro Duo can be either the flagship eight-core Core i9-9980HK or six-core Core i7-9750H generation Coffee Lake-H Refresh. They are complemented by a discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX until 2060. The amount of RAM DDR4-2666 can be up to 32 GB, and for data storage provides SSD NVMe volume of 1 TB. In addition to the flagship Pro-model, ASUS has introduced some of the most affordable ZenBook Duo, which also has two screens. The main display here is built on a 14-inch panel, likely IPS, with Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) and 72 % coverage of the NTSC colour space. The second screen has a diagonal of 12.6 inches and also has 1080p.
Based ZenBook Duo are Intel Core processors, up to Core i7 of the latest generation. Versions are available with discrete graphics card GeForce MX250 and limited only by the integrated graphics of the Intel chips. The laptop is equipped with 8 or 16 GB of RAM DDR4-2666.
